Dr. Charles Speaks at The Community Outreach Program (C.O.P.)

Last week, Dr. Charles spoke to 500 school children about the importance of crime prevention and the empowerment of our community’s youth.

He has partnered with The Community Outreach Program (C.O.P). This program is a proactive initiative developed by the Memphis Police Department to improve the quality of life of citizens and reduce juvenile violence, utilizing crime prevention techniques through identification, enforcement and education within the community.

This is accomplished by having a collaborative effort with businesses, churches, schools, and residents. The Memphis Youth Crime Watch (MyCW) is a program designed to empower school children to take responsibility for the safety of their schools by promoting a safe learning environment.
The program is ran by the students and supported by teachers and COP Officers.
