Dr. Nicholas Marchase was born in Durham, NC and grew up in Birmingham, AL. He attended college at Vanderbilt University where he graduated with degrees in Engineering Science and Economics and a minor in Management of Technology in 2004.
After graduating college he worked with a start up information technology company before deciding to pursue a medical career. Dr. Marchase went to medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 2012. He completed his internship at Baptist Health System in Birmingham in 2013. Afterwards, he finished his residency on Long Island at Nassau University Medical Center in 2016.
Dr. Marchase begins his fellowship with Drs. Steven Charles, Jordi Calzada, and Stephen Huddleston at Charles Retina Institute. Dr. Marchase is interested in continuing his medical mission work abroad, which he began in residency.
